TEHRAN – Tehran has played host to the third national symposium on tourism and green investment with transformative approach.

During the scientific symposium, 16 researchers presented their insights over the course of 10 hours within three specialized panels.

The discussions focused on topics such as natural and cultural heritage in tourism, green economy and entrepreneurship in tourism, the green tourism supply chain, and the art of green tourism with an emphasis on the development of organic tourism destinations.

The scientific and specialized event, with a transformative approach, was held last week at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce.

Given Iran’s rich history and potential in the realm of green tourism investments, the symposium sought to develop supportive policies, network stakeholders, and back innovative ideas, paving the way for the growth of green tourism and increased investments.

Green tourism, also known as sustainable tourism, is a growing trend in the global tourism industry. It involves promoting environmentally friendly practices and supporting local communities to ensure tourism has a positive impact on the environment and society.
